Henry Folsom appeared in St. Louis in 1854. He was associated with H. E. Dimick & Company at
38 North Main Street and later at 97 North 4th Street. In 1861 associated to Grant H. Burrows associated
Henry Folsom and Company. It seems that they did not sell any arms but military goods on
Washington Avenue at 5th Street until 1863 when a shop was obened at 64 North 4th Street.
Millitary goods were still offered but also revolvers and firearms in generally. He became
sole agent for Bacon's revolvers. During the Civil War Folsom had a second shop at Memphis. This shop was managed by J.C. Lullman. After the war the shop was bought by Lullman and A.J. Vienna. in 1888 Folsom became H. D. Folsom Arms Company incoporated in New Jersey. The New Orleans shop was renamed accodingly. Henry Folsom died in 1891. His son, Henry T.
